Coming 3rd to 5th December - The Christmas Tree festival

The plan is to have St. Mary’s filled with living Christmas trees – all decorated by local organisations and businesses. If you would like to buy one - for whatever reason – please could you get in touch with Stephanie McCusker. Alongside the trees we will have all sorts of performances by local artists – some old friends and some new so if you want to come along and enjoy the occasion please do so. Oh, and don't forget tea and cake!
Opening hours Friday 3rd 3-8, Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 12-4 followed by the St Mary's Advent Carol Service.

The popular Cathederal Singers of Christ Church, Oxford are returning for "Carols By Candlelight" on Saturday 11 December @ 7:30

Usually a rather magical event, so please come along. The service begins at 7.30 pm but come early and have a mince pie and a glass of glühwein before taking your seat. Tickets are £12 and available in advance from Trish Fennell or Caroline Jones.
The bees are coming - when its warmer
We have raised enough money now and we are in the process of sorting out a fenced area so that we can protect the overly inquisitive (on four legs or two) from coming too close. It is hoped that this will be sorted out before Christmas and that the new hive will be up and ready to go in the spring. Bees don’t like to move house during the colder months hence the delay in their re-settlement.

Oxford Welsh Male Voice Choir Concert, 30 November
Most of us have heard of Welsh male voice choirs by repute, many of us have had the pleasure of hearing them first hand at a Welsh rugby match but now Adderbury is very pleased to welcome the renowned Oxford Welsh Male Voice Choir to perform in St Mary’s Church on Saturday 30th November at 7.30pm.
St. Mary’s is a beautiful Church in the middle of the village and is noted for its wonderful acoustics, which will beautifully compliment the magical sound of this renowned Welsh Male Voice Choir.
Equally at home in village halls or cathedrals, the Oxford Welsh has a loyal following in and around Oxford. They aim to perform, on average, one concert a month for charitable causes, in this case, in aid of FOSMA (Friends of St Mary’s Adderbury). Beyond Oxfordshire, the choir has performed in many prestigious venues including St. David’s Hall, The Millennium Centre and the Principality Stadium, in Cardiff, as well as Birmingham Town Hall, Manchester Arena, Westminster Abbey and many more.
The choir was formed in 1928 by Welshmen who had come to Oxford looking for work at the William Morris car factory and Pressed Steel. Today the choir is more mixed. Many are English (although some may have a few drops of the Celtic blood!) As a Welsh choir they sing in the traditional 4-part male voice
style (1st & 2nd Tenor, Baritone and Bass) and a good proportion of their repertoire is in the Welsh language.
Tickets are £12 each - available in advance (see below) or on the door – and there will be a bar
Look forward to seeing you there!
